Editing Techniques

I will use Adobe Premier Elements on my macbook to edit my music video. The software I have means I will be able to utilise different editing techniques to make my music video as interesting as possible.

Using the software, I play to use a lot of shot duration editing where the footage will be played back slower than real time. This links with the theme and meaning of the song with reference to the lyric "Wish we could turn back time". This is because the slow motion is an alteration in pace and timing. I   also feel as though the use of slow motion in many of my shots will give my music video a higher quality aesthetic.

When editing I also plan to use pace of cuts to make the music video more dynamic for the audience. Having a fast paced edited music video will be something that appeals greatly to my target market group. I may also use artistic transitions to generate more interesting aesthetics between shots.
