Initial Song Ideas

Working in a pair for the production of my music video it will be important we both like the song and think it can work. This is why myself and my work partner Freya Blake sat down and discussed our ideas on song choices as well as the shots and editing we could use with each of the tracks. We wrote a shortlist of 5 songs each and then narrowed the lists down until we found one we both agreed on doing. We also listened to the songs suggested by each other so we both had a good understanding of the song and how it may work in a low-budget music video.

After several days of discussion we decided to go with Bros by Wolf Alice. We both know the song and the artist well and both felt it would work well for the shot ideas we had. We also agreed that the editing could be used effectively to support our visions of what the song is about. The indie rock genre that Wolf Alice specialise in is also something that gave the track appeal. We both like the genre and feel we have friends who could be classed as indie styled and would suit our music video well.
